A pre-cursor to Salesforce.com Dreamforce is Cloudstock – at Moscone West next Monday, December 6th. Cloudstock is an entirely new event designed for one purpose: To bring the top cloud developers and the top cloud technologies together under one roof, to learn from each other, collaborate, innovate, and drive the future of cloud computing. This open, meetup style, free event will feature sessions, demo stations, socializing, and a hackathon, all delivered in a hip, developer friendly context.
Unfortunately, the event is already sold out but I got my ticket the other week. I’m looking forward to the sessions, but haven’t nailed my schedule down yet. If you’re attending, let’s meet up…the first round of drinks is on me.
Update: looking over the schedule, I’m leaning toward these sessions in particular — look for me before and after:
Exploring the Professional Graph with LinkedIn’s REST APIs, because CollabNet is all about facilitating communities of professionals
Open APIs: State of the Market, because I’m all about overviews!
On Node.js, because I keep hearing about it …
Darwin’s Finches, 20th Century Business and APIs, because Sam is always worth hearing
JRuby, Ruby, Rails and You on the Cloud, because I thought Ruby was all about escaping Java!
