Taking DevOps into the Enterprise with UC4

November 6, 2012 Jim Ensell

These are exciting times at CollabNet. With our long-standing commitment to help customers organize and manage the people, processes and resources needed to build better software faster, we continue to play an important role in advancing the modernization of the software industry. From the adoption of open source tools and Agile-based practices, to enabling cloud development in the enterprise, CollabNet is always willing to make big moves that help drive industry innovation.

Today, I am pleased to announce the latest significant “move” by our company – a strategic partnership with the leader in IT Process Automation, UC4. Together with UC4, CollabNet is bringing to market the first “enterprise-grade” DevOps solution that will meet the needs of increasingly complex, distributed and growing IT organizations. We believe this is a game-changer for the industry – and we couldn’t be happier to partner with such a world-class organization like UC4 to make it happen.

For CollabNet customers, they will have access to UC4’s Application Release Automation (ARA) functionality within our TeamForge ALM platform through a rich new portal interface. ARA automates and orchestrates all activities involved in application deployment and operations, allowing for different environments, owners and processes to work in unison. This combined solution will automate the entire development-through-deployment process across a range of on-premise and external clouds – including code, build, test, release, deployment and IT automation – to achieve continuous, reliable application releases at scale.

Getting serious about DevOps was and is extremely important to all of us at CollabNet. Likewise, it is equally important to both our customers and growing ecosystem of partners, like UC4. Keep your eye out for exciting things to come in the DevOps world from CollabNet and UC4. [Tweet this]
