The Key to Optimizing Value Streams without Increasing Risk

I was recently joined by Diego Lo Giudice from Forrester Research for a CollabNet webinar titled, “Agile + DevOps Success: The Key to Optimizing Value Streams Without Increasing Risk.” Together, we discussed using value streams for success in Agile and DevOps and how enterprises can start leveraging value streams today.

We, in the software delivery business, know it’s all about the customer. “Customer obsession,” as Diego says, is the engine driving business today. For digital services, companies must know their customers intimately and be able to predict their behaviors and provide customized experiences. While all of this is great for the customer, it means adding layers of complexity to software development processes.

In this webinar, Diego walks us through scaling Agile for today’s modern enterprises and gives some very simple steps to help organizations get started. He says the first step is to look at value streams, a process that eliminates waste and ensures efficiency.

Agile, which enables speed and reliability, depends on an infrastructure that is secure and scalable. Diego compares Agile to a really good car — a great and smooth experience — and DevOps to the road and the signs along the road—good communication between teams. The two bring many benefits, particularly when paired together.

Don’t just take my word for it though, you can watch the webinar for yourself: https://www.versionone.com/webcasts/optimizing-value-streams/?aliId=31963162.
